I am a lifelong resident of Stevens County, born and raised on a small family dairy farm west of Springdale. I married my wife in 2004, and now we are raising our ten children on our own small hobby farm just south of Chewelah.

My profession for the last 20+ years has been in the welding and logging industries. I've always preferred working with my hands, and have excelled in those roles. Although I do not have a professional background in the various duties the auditor carries out, the fact that my wife and I own our house outright and do not have any debt while providing for a family on a single income, demonstrates my ability to understand cash flow, budgeting, and the ability to prioritize spending.

That being said, my primary reason for joining this race is because of the catastrophe of Vote-by-Mail that is not currently being addressed. The ridiculous stream of garbage legislation that has been flowing from Olympia is a direct result of the fact that We the People can no longer hold our "representatives" accountable, at least at the state level. One of my primary focuses over the last five years has been studying this problem. This motivated me to join the Stevens County Republican Central Committee, form the Election Integrity Committee, and am currently serving my second term as chair of that committee. With the information and evidence we have found, I believe that the only way to turn this around is to take action at the local level. There are several measures that can be taken to plug some of the major security gaps in our current system, primarily, proactive cleaning of the voter list, restoring community involvement by implementing hand counting of ballots, and enhanced transparency by prompt response to public records request, etc. My opponent hasn't shown any interest in addressing any of these issues, but has staunchly defended and praised our current election system.

Now that word is getting out that I am running for this position, several people that have, or still are working in and around the courthouse are reaching out to me detailing the difficult environment, lack of job execution, and poor financial stewardship originating from the auditor's office. Teamwork has been essential to the execution of all my previous jobs, and I have witnessed the demoralizing, unproductive, and destructive effect of having a dysfunctional team. I am committed to do everything in my ability to restore a unified effort among the County offices to ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer money.

I would be deeply honored to have your vote, and if you would like to join this effort, please consider making a donation to my campaign!
